SKILLS
This is the list of skills of Marco Polo
Passive
Chain Reaction
Cooldown: 0s, Cost: 0
Marco Polo’s basic attacks and skill damage apply a stack of Armor Shred to the target (5 stacks on minions). Upon reaching 10 stacks, Marco Polo restores 30 energy, and the target triggers the Armor Shred effect. During Armor Shred, the target takes an additional 40 (+35% Physical Attack) true damage from each of Marco Polo’s attacks or skills (this damage can crit), lasting 5 seconds. Marco Polo’s skill damage benefits only from 50% of on-hit effects.
Tips: Marco Polo can save his skills to unleash burst damage when the true damage effect is triggered.
Skill 01
Resplendent Revolver
Cooldown: 5/4.8/4.6/4.4/4.2/4s, Cost: 60
Marco Polo shoots 5 bullets in a specified direction, gaining a 10% movement speed increase during the attack. Each bullet deals 90/108/126/144/162/180 (+25% Physical Attack) physical damage. The number of bullets increases by 1 for every 30% increase in attack speed, up to a maximum of 6 additional bullets.
Tips: The movement speed boost during shooting allows Marco Polo to maneuver around the edge of enemy attacks, maintaining control of the fight.
Skill 02
Roaming Gun
Cooldown: 9/8.6/8.2/7.8/7.4/7s, Cost: 80
Marco Polo dashes in a specified direction, instantly appearing at the target location. Passive: When there are enemy heroes within a 500 range of Marco Polo, his damage is increased by 20%, and his movement speed is increased by 15/18/21/24/27/30%.
Tips: A skilled Marco Polo will analyze the enemy’s skill states and approach them to gain the additional damage and movement speed bonuses.
Ultimate
Fevered Barrage
Cooldown: 15/13.5/12s, Cost: 120
Marco Polo blinks to a designated location and continuously fires a barrage of bullets in all directions, dealing 120/180/240 (+35% Physical Attack) physical damage per hit. During the skill’s duration, Marco Polo fires 12 barrages. The number of barrages increases by 1 for every 30% increase in attack speed, up to a maximum of 6 additional barrages. The barrages trigger on-hit effects from basic attacks but only benefit from 50% of these effects.
Tips: The ultimate can deal massive area damage, but be aware that moving during the ultimate will immediately cancel its effect.

Marco Polo Synergy
- Zhong Wuyan: Zhong Wuyan’s petrifying ability allows Marco Polo to easily stack attack counts and deal true damage.
- Niu Mo: In team fights, Niu Mo provides defensive capabilities for Marco Polo, slowing and knocking up nearby enemies, and providing an output environment.
Marco Polo’s Counter
After Marco Polo accumulates a certain number of attacks, opponents should actively maintain distance to avoid Marco Polo dealing true damage and burst damage. Although Marco Polo’s ultimate has a short dash, he cannot move while casting it. Saving crowd control skills or spreading out can avoid his burst damage.
- Smith & Blade: Their combat range greatly exceeds Marco Polo’s. As a marksman, it is easy to be hit by their attacks during team fights.
- Hua Mulan: Like Marco Polo, Hua Mulan is a highly agile hero, making it difficult for Marco Polo to escape her pursuit.
Team Fight Strategy
When accumulating a certain number of attacks, Marco Polo will deal additional true damage for the next 5 seconds. Using skills to deal burst damage will result in higher damage. Skilled players can get close to enemies during their skill downtime to deal additional damage and gain movement speed.
Marco Polo needs to approach enemies at the right time to deal massive damage, so accurate situation assessment is crucial: for example,
- whether the enemy has used their burst skills and entered cooldown,
- whether their crowd control skills have been used,
- whether their mobility skills are still available, etc.
Marco Polo is a highly mobile and agile marksman hero with strong continuous damage output and additional true damage. His basic attacks and skill damage can break the target’s defense and restore a certain amount of energy.
Marco Polo’s Gameplay Strategy
As a pro gamer, mastering Marco Polo’s gameplay requires adapting your strategy to each phase of the game. Here’s a breakdown of how to approach the early, mid, and late game to secure high kills:
Early Game:
- Focus on farming: In the early game, prioritize last-hitting minions to accumulate gold and experience, which will help you acquire items faster and level up your skills.
- Harass opponents: Utilize Marco Polo’s range and passive skill to poke and harass enemy heroes in your lane. This will force them to play defensively and potentially miss out on farm.
- Coordinate with your support: Work closely with your support hero to set up kills or force enemies out of the lane. Remember that heroes like Milady, Zhong Wuyan and Niu Mo synergize well with Marco Polo.
Mid Game:
- Roam and Gank: As you gain levels and items, start roaming to other lanes to help your teammates secure kills. Utilize your mobility and burst damage potential to catch enemies off-guard.
- Objectives: Work with your team to secure objectives like towers, dragons, or buffs. These objectives will provide your team with gold, experience, and map control.
- Positioning: In team fights, maintain proper positioning to maximize your damage output while staying safe from enemy crowd control and burst damage.
Late Game:
- Prioritize high-value targets: Focus on eliminating enemy carries and high-damage dealers first. Your true damage and consistent damage output will be crucial in taking them down.
- Stick with your team: As the game progresses, team fights become more common and important. Stay close to your teammates, especially your frontline and support, to ensure you’re protected while dealing damage.
- Secure major objectives: Work with your team to contest and secure major objectives like Tempest Dragon, or high ground turrets. These objectives can provide significant advantages that may help close out the game.
Throughout all phases of the game, be mindful of your positioning, map awareness, and decision-making. Balancing aggression with caution and strategically utilizing your skills will help you secure high kills and lead your team to victory.
